Sada Mangder Hydro Power Project

Pre-feasibility report, hydrology and geological studies and DPR in India

Description of project:

The Sada Mangder 71 MW Hydro Power Project is located in West District of Sikkim. The project utilizes the waters of the Rangit and Relli Rivers and consists of two dams which provide peaking storage.

The Sada portion of the project comprises a gravity dam, a single opening intake structure, a headrace tunnel and an inclined pressure shaft.

The Mangder portion of the project comprises an arch gravity dam, a single opening intake structure and a pressure shaft.

The two portions separately feed an underground powerhouse having cavern and a circular tailrace tunnel feeds back into the Rangit River.

  • Dydrology and geological studies;
  • Preparation of a bankable detailed project report (DPR).
