Mori Hanol Hydro Power Project

Pre-feasibility and site investigation services for a new HPP in India

Description of project:

Mori Hanol Hydro Power Project (70 MW) is located on the Tons River, which is one of the main tributaries of the Yamuna River in Uttarkashi District of Uttarakhand.

The project comprises a diversion dam downstream of Mori village; a spillway with five openings; a single opening intake structure on the right abutment; three surface desilting chambers; a concrete-lined circular headrace tunnel; a vertical surge shaft; one penstock and a surface powerhouse to accommodate two vertical axis Francis turbines, each with a capacity of 35 MW. The water discharges back into the river through an open tailrace channel.
