Chuzachen Hydro Power Plant
Development of general layout and detail design of a 110 MW HPP in India
Description of project:
Chuzachen hydroelectric power plant (110 MW) is located in the east district of Sikkim on the Rangpo and Rongli rivers. It is a run-of-river plant with storage capacity to supply peak load during the low flow season. The high head scheme consist of two interconnected reservoirs, a headrace tunnel system, an 800 m long surface penstock, and a powerhouse, housing two Francis turbines (2 x 55 MW).
Development of the general layout; optimizing the harnessing of the water from Rangpo and Rongli rivers before their confluence und detail design.
