Sustainable living in southern Sweden

Coordinating sustainable living and building standards in Malmö

West Harbour is the Swedish southern port city of Malmö's most notable symbol for work done in sustainable city development.

The latest project is in the district is Fullriggaren, where apartments, offices, a nursery and a multistorey car park have been built. ÅF has played an important role in coordinating sustainability matters as well as an acting advisor on how to meet other the sustainability objectives.

When Fullriggaren is complete, the area will house Sweden's largest collection of passive and low-energy buildings. Within the area there will also be solar collectors, solar panels and small wind turbines along with green walls and green roofs, where plants are grown.
