Stockholmsledet 11

In the Swedish city of Lund, the new Axis headquarters is emerging, with ÅF in charge of environmental coordination. The goal is achieving a high BREEAM certification.

Axis Communications, a provider of network cameras and security solutions, are getting new headquarters in Lund. The building, Stockholmsledet 11, will comprise all of 42 000 sq m. It will be certified according to BREEAM-SE and is expected to achieve the second highest level, Excellent.

The builder has granted ÅF the role of environmental coordinator. This involves assisting in environmental matters, to ensure that the building will meet all requirements set by BREEAM.

The build has started and the construction documents are being developed. In this phase, ÅF is contributing in matters such as purchasing. Building materials must meet exacting specifications in terms of environmental impact and not contain cancerinogenic or hormone-disrupting substances.

The building is expected to be ready for occupation in spring 2019, and that is when the final certification will take place.
