Mining Environments

Mines are about more than extracting valuable metals from the ground

You must also keep track of the effect of mining operations on the surrounding environment.

There is a great deal happening at the moment in the mining industry in Sweden. Prospecting and test mining operations are under way, new mines are being established and existing ones expanded. This is resulting in a large number of questions about the impact of the mining industry on the surrounding environment, in terms of emissions to both air and water. In Kiruna, for example, large parts of the town are having to be moved and lake systems diverted.

What do we do in the field of Mining Environments?

Our employees work with issues relating to water and the environment associated with the mining industry. We have many years of experience from assignments in the mining industry – primarily from the mining areas in Norrbotten and Västerbotten. We work on everything from field surveys and calculations to writing reports and planning. We also provide support to our clients on issues of environment law, where we have extensive competence.
