Regionalt datasenter Helse Nord IKT
Northern Norway Regional Health Authority (Helse Nord RHF) is responsible for the hospitals in the Northern part of Norway and Svalbard. Helse Nord RHF has approx.. 19.000 employees, and an annual budget of 14 Billion NOK.
The project «Regional Data Center» shall design, plan and construct two complete data centers including all necessary infrastructure. The data centers shall support Helse Nord’s goal of being able to offer a modern, modular, scalable, secure and efficient data center solution to the region for at least the next 15 years. The regional data centers will be the basis for cost-efficient operations and reduced costs by being the preferred locations for the next-generation services and consolidated solutions. The new data center will start operation in 2016.
The “FAKT” program in Helse Nord IKT shall ensure a common architecture and next-generation platform, consolidation and migration of applications to the new data center, and test of all migrated applications.
Our employees have been involved in the project and program through several roles, ranging from Project Manager for the “Regional Data Center” project, assisting Program Manager for the FAKT program, and Project Managers for the subprojects.
