ÅF Advansia’s project management and construction management enjoy the backing of robust specialist environments that ensure high quality and low risk in projects from start to completion.
The specialist environments are organised into specialist groups which deal with specialised issues that cut across projects, and further develop our skill-sets and our quality system.
ÅF Advansia's goal is for all projects in which we are involved to have a clear sustainability impact. During the early phases this is about choosing objectives with relevant follow-up programmes, such as BREEAM certification requirements, material recyclability and H-value targets. In terms of operational implementation it is about following up selected environmental and SHA goals in construction contracts and in the interface between lines of accountability.
We have a high level of skills in SHA, including preventive work to tackle social dumping – a mounting problem within the trade. We supply services at both strategic and operative levels to the projects in which we are engaged. On our larger projects, our own teams have been created with specialists in SHA, security and the external environment. We are accustomed to working with ambitious SHA objectives, including H-values under 2, a goal only achieved with high-level competence and close client follow-up. The Østfold Hospital was delivered in 2015 with an H-value of 1,77. The specialist group is managed by Runar Bache.
We are developing environmental competence in our own specialist environment managed by Nina Løvstad. The specialist group can be engaged early on in projects to assist in the work on sustainability strategy and environmental follow-up programmes. We have BREEAM competence up to auditor level, which is used to quality-assure and certificate projects. We also have specialist competence in phytobiology, air and water pollution, material selection, CO2 analyses and life-cycle analyses.
