ÅF combines traditional geotechnics with geophysics in order to deliver a complete product with high quality. We use methods such as ground penetrating radar, resistivity and seismics.
Applications
- Environmental: Localizing buried infrastructure and environmental hazards, contaminant mapping, metal detection and landfill surveys.
- Infrastructure and engineering: Mapping of geological features such as bedrock, clay layers and rocks, utility mapping, underground storage tank location, basis for cost effective soil/rock probing and other geotechnical fieldwork, localization of buried infrastructure, concrete inspection, evaluation of railway track substructure.
- Marine: Surveying seabed and debris buildup. Mapping of thickness of sediments and depth to bedrock, projecting pipes, contaminant mapping and building of marine infrastructure.
We can also offer you education in the subject of geophysics:
- Training in Resistivity: ÅF provides a complete training in 2D, 2.5D and 3D Resistivity, IP and SP surveys. The course is designed to give the participant good knowledge in the geoelectrical methods and their applications.
- Training in Refraction Seismic Methods: ÅF provides a complete course in refraction seismic. The training is time effective and designed to give the student adequate experience in how to carry out their own seismic survey.
