Reuss River Groundwater Flow Model, Switzerland
Building a numerical model of the regional groundwater flow system as a base for various specific applications (since 2004)
Description of project
Authorities of the Canton Lucerne require a flexible modelling tool including a continuously updated database in order to assess any type of intended interference into the groundwater flow system along an approx. 20 km long stretch of the Reuss River.
Our services
Generating a groundwater flow model using FEFLOW; calibration and continued updating; using the model as an assessment tool for planned interventions into the groundwater system such as stream renaturation, water extraction, flood control measures, road construction or energetic exploitation
