ÅF wins new contract from FMV, new order "Project management Command & Control Shelters".
The Swedish Materiel Administration (FMV) has placed an order to ÅF and Business Area Defence and Security. The order is for continued independent project management support to FMV in ongoing projects with final delivery in December 2014.
The projects and their final products form a new, to the Swedish Armed Forces (SAF), common shelter system with ancillary products. The shelters are based on ISO 668 container standard.
These mobile command posts can be compared to mobile offices with unique military requirements like:
- Ballistic protection
- CBRN protection
- Electromagnetic protection
- Environmental requirements
The shelters shall be able to be used by the SAF throughout the world.
