Award-winning lighting designer Jim Collin joins ÅF and will be manager of the new Lighting department in Malmö. Jim Collin will take on the challenge of generating new business in southern and western Sweden.

Thursday evening the winner of the Nordic Lighting Award was finally announced. ÅF was this year nominated for the award with the project at Aalborg Harbor Front (Denmark) and the project received  honorable mention due to its "outstanding integration of landscape and lighting design".

ÅF wins major contract with the City of Copenhagen

ÅF involved in The new Natural History Museum of Denmark

The winner of a major competition regarding the new Natural History Museum of Denmark has recently been revealed. The winning tema is Lundgaard and Tranberg Architects, architects Claus Pryds and Steen Høyer and consulting engineers EKJ. ÅF Lighting is sub consultants to EKJ regarding lighting and day-light in the new museum.
ÅF Lighting wins The Danish Road Prize 2011

Aalborg Municipality has received the Danish Road Prize 2011 for the street lighting made in relation to the comprehensive lighting project at Aalborg Harbor Front. The prize was last week handed out by the Danish Minister for Transport, Henrik Dam Kristensen.

On the 16th of November ÅF Lighting won the Danish Lighting Prize with the comprehensive lighting project at Aalborg Waterfront   The former industrial harbor area in Aalborg has since 2004 been undergoing large changes to create a recreational urban space. The lighting project connects the center of Aalborg to the adjacent fjord with the help of a mix of functional and scenographic ligh
