In Russia the Energy Division is represented by three operating companies: ÅF-Consult JSC, Lonas Tekhnologia JSC and ÅF-Mercados EMI. In total, there are more than 300 employees working for ÅF in Russia.
1. ÅF-Consult JSC has been an ÅF Group company since 2006. The company offers consulting services in construction and upgrading of power facilities and can perform services as Owner’s Engineer, Bank’s Engineer, Technical Agent, EPCM-consultant, independent expert, also during a pre-engineering stage. If required, experts from other Divisions can get involved in any project. Our clients are power generating companies, banks, industrial companies and “independent investors”.
ÅF-Consult JSC represents the best interests and performs services of other divisions as well in the Former Soviet Union countries, including consulting services in sectors such as infrastructure (roads, bridges, utilities, city planning, buildings and construction) and pulp-and-paper industry.
2. Lonas Tekhnologia JSC has been 75% owned by ÅF Group since 2008. The company was created in 1993 and is one of the leading engineering companies in Russia, particularly in power generation projects. Within the creation of new power plants and upgrading of existing ones – from mini-CHP to big power units fired by any type of fuel – the company performs pre-engineering and design works, detailed design and works on a turn-key basis. The company’s clients are found among territorial and wholesale power generating companies, steel enterprises, chemical companies and power-intensive industries. 3. ÅF-Mercados - Energy Markets International (ÅF-Mercados EMI) has been an 100% ÅF Group subsidiary since 2010. The company performs services in increasing efficiency of power generating and network companies including on a benchmarking basis, on the basis of regulating energy markets: electrical energy markets, power capacity markets, balancing markets and others, modeling of energy systems of different scale, developing systems of supporting renewable energy projects and others. The company’s headquarters is located in Madrid, Spain. Subsidiaries and offices are in Moscow, Rome, Edinburgh, Ankara, New-Deli, and Beijing.
