For a succession in our Hydro Power department on a project site in Turkey we are looking for a
Site Manager – Ilisu Dam and HEPP
University degree in Civil Engineering or other relevant disciplines required
We offer a challenging assignment on a 1,200 MW hydro power project with major embankment dam:
- lead and coordinate the Owner’s Engineer Consortium site supervision and design review team
- advise owner on all matters concerning contract administration and site supervision
- establish / maintain procedures for site supervision and quality control; introduce and enforce procedures vis à vis staff, owner and contractors
- ascertain that inspection and supervision of the contractor is properly executed and participate in the supervision of the work
- follow the site conditions encountered (in particular geology) and advise on any difficulties and modifications required to adjust to the actual conditions
- keep track of any modification with respect to the final design and application drawings and assure incorporation in the as-built drawings
- lead the review of method statements from the contractors
We expect well-founded expertise and a strong character profile:
- experience as Site Manager / Resident Manager
- experience with the role as Owner's Engineer
- extensive knowledge / experience in hydro power / dam projects
- skills in coordination of different professionals (civil, mechanical, electrical, administrative)
- broad knowledge of quality assurance (QA/QC)
- cultural sensitivity
- readiness to live at remote location for extended period of time
- fluency in written and spoken English
