Energy efficiency standards

From 16 June 2011, new requirements for minimum energy efficiency for electric motors are mandatory in the European Union (EC 640/2009). Apart from Europe, many other countries have set different minimum energy performance standards and companies must be aware of those differences as well as of the different deadlines. Planning in advance can avoid unexpected market constraints and unnecessary costs.

ÅF carried out an assignment where we identified the different energy efficiency standards for electrical motors in various countries (EU, US, Canada, Australia, China, Brazil, and others) in order to help our client finding a common ground for compliance and choosing the best worldwide strategy for complying with energy efficiency standards.
